Alliance has been working together to develop a holistic approach to retrofitting incorporating contractors, consultants, suppliers, products, services, skills, jobs and resident training.

The process incorporated product development using consultants and 'Registered Provider' user and product groups and, extensive expertise and research through the Tenant Participation and Advisory Service (TPAS) and Fusion21's Knowledge Transfer Partnership with The University of Salford.

The three consortia are using the combined buying power of their members to ensure best value and contain future costs as demand rises - but also to encourage and lead developments in both the technologies and the approaches to resident engagement that will be vital in achieving successful retrofit in the longterm.
